At The Cat Sanctuary Maynooth, every cat is treated like family. Nestled just outside of Maynooth, our sanctuary is a peaceful haven where cats can relax, play and thrive in a safe, stress-free environment.

We believe every cat has its own unique personality, and we tailor our care to suit each individual. From nutritional guidance to enrichment activities, our team is dedicated to ensuring each feline guest feels happy, secure and loved.

What are your boarding rates?

One Cat - €20 per night

Two Cats - €35 per night (sharing)

What time is Check In & Check Out?

Check-In and Check-Out is between 10am and 12pm daily. Late Check-Out times are available also from 4pm - 6pm.

Can I bring my cat’s own food or bedding?

Absolutely. Familiar food and bedding can help your cat feel at home. We also provide cosy beds, toys, and high-quality food if you prefer.

Do you provide food?

We don’t supply food as we want your cat to settle into The Cat Sanctuary smoothly. A sudden change in diet can be stressful so we recommend bringing their usual food. 

How will I know my cat is doing okay

We’ll send regular photo and video updates during your cat’s stay. You can also message us anytime for a little reassurance.

What if my cat needs medication?

We’re experienced in administering oral and topical medications. Just let us know the details when booking and bring everything clearly labelled.

Should I treat my cat for Fleas/Ticks/Worms prior to a stay with you?

We advise each owner to make sure that their cat has received flea/tick and worm treatment prior to arrival. 

What if my cat becomes ill/injured during their stay?

In the unexpected event that your cat falls ill we have access to a local 24hr emergency vet to tend to your cat. Although, if you would prefer for us to contact the vet you normally use, this can be arranged also. 

Does my cat need to be neutered/spayed?

Yes, we ask that all guests(Male & Female) are neutered/spayed prior to their stay with us. 

What happens if I’m delayed collecting my cat?

Please let us know as soon as possible. Extra nights may be charged, and if we can’t reach you, alternative arrangements may need to be made for your cat’s care.

🐾 The Cat Sanctuary – Booking at a Glance

We want your booking experience to be as smooth as possible. Here are the key things to know:

πŸ“… Booking & Deposits

A small deposit (up to 30%) secures your cat’s stay.

Short stays (5 nights or fewer) must be paid in full when booking.

Deposits and short stays are non-refundable.


πŸ’³ Payments

Full payment is due at least 48 hours before arrival.

All bookings are paid in advance – we don’t carry balances or credits.


❌ Cancellations

Cancel 3+ weeks before check-in → 50% balance due.

Cancel within 48 hours → full balance due.

Early pick-ups or cutting a stay short → no refunds.

Christmas & peak times → minimum 6 nights stay.


🐱 During Their Stay

Cats stay at their owner’s risk.

Late collections will incur extra charges.

A third party can only collect your cat if you’ve given us written consent.

We may refuse/cancel a booking if safety or welfare is at risk.

We’ll send you regular photo/video updates, and sometimes feature our guests on social media.
